Teaching Personal Qualities

Moral Upbringing

For the successful social integration and good relationship development of a child within a family, it is necessary to teach some moral behaviour skills. These include honesty, integrity, modesty, fair-mindedness, conscientiousness, and humanity. As a rule, children learn these skills by copying the behaviour of adults. But, considering that adults’ conduct is not always irreproachable, it is often useful to study them intentionally.

Honesty

Honesty is one of the foundations of moral behaviour. It is connected with the conscience, aimed at compliance with social convention and it is the basis for people’s trust in each other. Honesty is important for the organisation of joint activities and is based on the necessities of the co-existence of people.

Integrity

Integrity is exhibited in the inability to act dishonourably, immorally, and antisocially. A person of honour will never knowingly do anything wrong. The contrast between people of integrity and those with low morals is stark.

Modesty

Modesty is a positive moral characteristic expressed by a respectful and well-mannered attitude towards other people. It is manifested in cooperative, continent behaviour and the ability to value the personal space of others. It is an essential quality which prevents the provocation of aggression and jealousy.

Fair-mindedness

Fair-mindedness is a requirement of the consistency between a job and its remuneration, rights and obligations, etc. People need to be fair-minded to regulate relations between them and assess how good these relations are. Society respects fair-minded people and they usually have a high social status.

Conscientiousness

Conscientiousness means the complete fulfilment of social obligations. It suggests living by one’s conscience. Conscientiousness allows an individual to act advisedly and not be influenced by impulse. Conscientiousness inspires confidence and respect and it helps achieve success in one’s career and personal life. Conscientiousness enhances personal discipline and develops the ability to plan and efficiently manage time.

Humanity

Humanity is manifested as love towards people and the acknowledgement of each person’s rights common to humankind. It makes a human life the primary value on earth. It is a requirement for people to positively interact with others and construct good relations. This reveals itself in compassion and sympathy. Humanity relieves people from anger, hatred, spite and dissatisfaction. Humanity infuses calmness and invites agreeableness.

Online training

Our training is held remotely, online, so no matter where you live, you can also access it. You will not have to travel to the Centres, you just need to get connect to the website. We have developed programs for individual sessions with a tutor as well as group training online. To illustrate the high quality of teaching, a test system for the assessment of students’ behavioural skills before and after the sessions has been developed. As a result, trust-based relations are formed between teachers and parents. The parents can see at any moment what their child is being taught and how his/her behaviour is changing.

Take a test to assess the level of your child’s personal qualities (honesty, integrity, modesty, fair-mindedness, conscientiousness)

1. Do you sometimes notice that your child is cheating?
2. Does your child often behave obnoxiously?
3. Will your child protect those who are younger or weaker?
4. Does your child keep his/her promises?
5. Can your child honestly confess to his/her misdeeds?
6. Does your child understand what fair-mindedness is?
7. Can your child share things with others?
8. Does your child always do home assignments independently?
9. Can your child listen attentively and become interested in the solution of a problem?
10. When contacting animals, is your child kind and caring?
Total number of points: 0

From 1 to 10 points. You have succeeded in developing all the best qualities in your child – integrity, honesty, and modesty. Such people always attract others; they will never be without friends and are often high achievers.

From 11 to 20 points. The morals you notice in your child need to be corrected. Control over the child and punishment may not work, but encouragement when required, is more successful. There is a special program in our Centre that facilitates changes in a child’s behaviour without compulsion, using efficient, positive techniques. We will be glad to help you.
