“I’m loosing weight” is the slogan of a new generation.  “Anorexics are slim girls” is another slogan that has become very dangerous for the health of its followers. Excessive enthusiasm for losing weight ends with behavioural disorders no less dangerous than overeating.  If your weight is significantly less than normal, you have problems with your eating behaviour.

Anorexia and Behavioural Psychology. How to Treat Anorexia?

The problem with anorexia is that your body is chronically malnourished and has already adapted to this behaviour. That is, if a person wants to eat more, his/her behavioural skills will not allow him/her to do this.  And at the same time, this condition negatively affects the health and appearance of the person. In such cases, the help of a behavioural specialist is required to bring eating behaviour back to normal.

Treatment of Anorexia.

Treatment of anorexia is carried out in medical clinics. However, medication-assisted treatment of anorexia shows very low effectiveness, since the causes of anorexia are psychological. Without solving psychological problems, anorexia cannot be cured. Anorexia coding, anorexia pills give a short-term result and, as a rule, the addiction becomes chronic. Behavioural psychology refers to anorexia as an eating disorder, and its methods are aimed precisely at eliminating the psychological causes of the disorder. Therefore, the effectiveness of behavioural training techniques for the treatment of anorexia is close to 90%.
